Organic Growers of Ireland Website Launched

Welcome to the Organic Growers of Ireland's new website. The OGI was set up as a voluntary representative group for growers in 2009. Our stated aims are:

  • Supporting effective and dynamic promotion of organic produce.
  • Identifying training needs of Irish growers.
  • Sharing practical and market information and facilitating networking between members.
  • Improving access to technical information on organic horticulture.
  • Encouraging new entrants to organic production.

We run a series of farm walks every summer, organise training days, conferences, study tours and keep growers up to date with new developments in the sector. We also lobby government and various other bodies on growers' behalf. We would appreciate if you would support our work by becoming a paid member thus contributing to our funds for future events. We intend to use our Facebook page as a forum and for anyone wishing to be placed on our mailing list please contact us.

The committee are Cáit Curran, Grace Maher, Tom Murphy, Liam Ryan and Jason Horner.
